SashikoFest 2026

SashikoFest England 2026 is a one-day celebration of all things sashiko, with workshops, demonstrations and displays as well as plenty to buy!

Confirmed traders include B.P. Boyden, Susan Briscoe, Fabazzar, Janice Gunner, Japan Crafts and Textile Traders. Each providing a plethora of tempting goodies as well as being on hand to give advice and share their knowledge.

Exhibition of Sashiko and Boro items, Talk, Demonstrations, Workshops & Traders. Refreshments available.

10:00am – 11:00am (in The Walnut Social Area)

Talk: One Simple Stitch with Janice Gunner

An informative talk with images and items from Janice’s collection about how running stitch has been and still is used for textiles.

One simple stitch can create pattern and texture on cloth all around the world.

Limited to 40 places – £5 on the day

11:45am – 1:15pm

Sashiko Mug Rug with Rosemary Muntus

1:30pm – 3:00pm

After Boro Basics with Janice Gunner

All workshops – £22 each which includes a kit.

Only 12 places available on each one – please only book one workshop to give others a chance – Thank you.

Vacancies on the day will be announced at the event.

These will take place in the Oak Hall with seating available at each demonstrator’s table
